The Republicans Stampeded through election night snapping up the Majority in the Senate. Needing just 51, the Republicans now have 52 seats in the Senate and counting. Mitch McConnell will be the new majority leader after beating Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes for his sixth term in the Senate representing Kentucky.
Joni Ernst is going to Washington as the first female Senator from Iowa. Democratic Senator Kay Hagan is ditched in North Carolina with a win for Republican Tom Tillis. Pick-ups for the GOP in Colorado, Arkansas, Montana and South Dakota helped this midterm become the biggest swing in the Midterms in the Senate since the Reagan years.
