The dead body of Noah Herring, a 15-year-old Iowa City teenager, was discovered in a lake on April 11th. The circumstances under which he was found are unknown but apparently presumed to be suspicious.
The police issued search warrants on April 16th — without making any official statements on what prompted them to do so, reports The Gazette. They also remain tight-lipped on other subjects.
For example, it is unknown what tips eventually led the investigators to discover Noah’s body in Coralville Lake, or if they currently consider anyone to be a person of interest, even though it is rumored that questionings have already taken place.
Noah Herring was last seen alive at 3 p.m. on April 7th near Tiffin. The Johnson County police officially declared him a missing person on April 9th.
The cause of his death has not been officially stated.
