It is going to be very difficult to expect that we will see the result. Who has made it into the white house on November the 3rd or 4th? This is being attributed to last time round everyone was surprised by the result. It is true that one of the candidates won the popular vote only it is the electoral college who is the kingmaker. So people are going to be very cautious about what is announced. This is not helped by the incumbent president stating there is something wrong in the voting. It is therefore very important to sort that out first. Also, we are in the middle of a pandemic not seen for a very long time. This has caused the laws to be changed so mail ballots which have surged.

It is therefore very difficult to say who has won what until the dust has clearly settled.

Timothy is the Senior Editor for America Tonight with more than 20 years in media. Curiously enough, he started off within agricultural journalism (he's from Georgia, after all), but soon moved from articles about peaches to something more intense. He attended the University of Central Florida, receiving a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences and minoring in Crime, Law, and Deviance. At first he took a job as a traffic reporter (mostly to conquer his fear of heights, he claims), but after a month of relatively peaceful work was asked to cover a live police car chase. This was a game-changer: by the end of the same year he was leading the newsroom. Tim also loves to promise that he's quitting "next year", moving from New York to New Zealand and becoming a writer, but we don't believe him. He loves us too much. jeffers@americatonight.net
