An arrest warrant has been issued for the Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker. He is being charged with four counts of armed robbery and four counts of aggravated assault, police in Miramar, Florida, North Jersey.Com announced on May 14th. Seahawks defensive back Quinton Dunbar was also linked to the case.
According to the arrest warrant, Baker, Dunbar and one other unidentified man took the money and watches at a party on May 13th, while threatening the victim with a semi-automatic weapon.
Witnesses claim that all three individuals immediately left in separate vehicles, quickly and smoothly, as if the whole attack was premeditated.
Police say the men stole more than $7,000 in cash and several expensive watches, including an $18,000 Rolex and a $25,000 Hublot, for an estimated total value of $61,000.
Another witness told the authorities that both Baker and Dunbar have been gambling in Miami earlier this week, losing around $70,000.
The Giants have released a statement regarding the arrest: “We are aware of the situation. We have been in contact with DeAndre. We have no further comment at this time.”
