The National Hurricane Center reports that Cristobal, a current tropical storm, caused landfall today, as reported from the southeast coast in Louisiana, in the Grand Isle area and the Mississippi River’s mouth. The winds here reportedly reached 50 mph.
This follows the previous prediction of various harsh weather events caused by Cristobal crossing the Gulf of Mexico. Tornadoes, rainfalls, flash floods, as well as blustery winds, are going to last for the rest of Sunday and throughout the beginning of the next week.
The lower area of the Mississippi Valley, as well as the Midwest, will likely be affected next, meteorologists warn.
