On American Minds This Week

American minds this last week were focused on mainly three topics.  That of the new Supreme Court nomination. The legitimacy of the winner in the upcoming election. Also of course the Coronavirus. Which reared its ugly head in certain hot spots around the country most notably in New York.

Several side issues such as The New York Times investigative story on Trump’s tax affairs. Also, the upcoming debate between the two candidates later on tonight.  The words on these topics have trended heavily showing the interest generated within the population.

Having said all that the Election is always running around the top topics as it gets closer. It will be interesting to see if these trending words which point to the thought processes of the populace. Also whether their attention will be changed by the end of this week.

Timothy is the Senior Editor for America Tonight with more than 20 years in media. Curiously enough, he started off within agricultural journalism (he's from Georgia, after all), but soon moved from articles about peaches to something more intense. He attended the University of Central Florida, receiving a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences and minoring in Crime, Law, and Deviance. At first he took a job as a traffic reporter (mostly to conquer his fear of heights, he claims), but after a month of relatively peaceful work was asked to cover a live police car chase. This was a game-changer: by the end of the same year he was leading the newsroom. Tim also loves to promise that he's quitting "next year", moving from New York to New Zealand and becoming a writer, but we don't believe him. He loves us too much. jeffers@americatonight.net
